MASSAGE THERAPY
We do not charge extra to give you what your body needs. You will discuss your massage therapy goals with your practitioner every time you come in for a session. Our in-office practitioners use Thai element theory to meet every body's individual needs. Occasionally, a practitioner may use a modality other than Traditional Thai massage if it best suits your current state. This includes any appropriate integration of what is known as Thai Massage, Medical Massage (Western), CranioSacral Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Energy Work, and even some influences of Lomi Lomi massage. All massage therapy modalities are simply referred to as a Massage Therapy under the bodywork tab on the scheduling page. Below are some brief highlights of a typical table massage.

- You might have to change your clothing. Most sessions only require oil for a specific part of the body. You may be offered clothing to change into if this is the case. If an oil or lotion is determined to be appropriate for the majority of your body, then you are not required to wear any clothing. A blanket and sheet will be used to keep you warm and modestly draped throughout the session. You will privately remove as much clothing as you are comfortable removing prior to the massage, and may find it much easier to relax if you wear running shorts, boxers or panties for your session. If you require assistance with your clothing, please come with a caregiver or aid who can assist you, or consider trying fully clothed massage as an alternative.
- You will be kept warm or cool as needed. The massage tables and futon have heated pads for optional warmth and fans in each studio for cooling.
- Allergies are considered. You will be asked to approve the massage oil or lotion before it is applied. A variety of balms, liniments, and herbs may also be topically applied if needed. Please disclose any allergies or aroma preferences.
